Tammibest-1.53.2 (4 yr. Cammibest mare)-Partnership #35
Joined our stable on January 19th 2009-when we purchased her out of the Meadowlands winter Mix Sale for $47,000.
Lightly raced-with only 14 starts-Tammibest was selected because she raced extremely well in the White Ruffles stakes-finishing a fast closing 2nd and 4th-making the $53,000 Final. Our purchased included being in the Final 3 days later.
With George Brennan in the bike-Tammibest left and got a great 2nd-pocket trip thru the entire mile-coming out late in the stretch-to just miss and finishing 2nd-earning over $13,000 after our purchase.
She followed that with a strong 2nd in NW2-some decent races in the Night Styles Stakes at the Meadowlands in late February-and then a heartbreaking tough fought lose in another NW2 race.
She won a leg in the Petticoat Stakes at Yonkers in 1.56 by a nose-and made the $60,000+ Final-but drew post #8 and made a speed break on the turn.
She now races in the NW5 and mid level conditions at Chester Downs & Pocono Downs
